The Truth About MLM Retention

One of the all-time most famous MLM success stories - and failures - was Excel Telecommunications. Excel built huge way back when, selling long distance service. Because Excel was publicly traded, they had to publish a lot of their statistics to the public. And in this very successful company, with many successful reps, people were astonished to learn that ONLY 6% of ALL Excel reps stayed with the company for 1 year or more!

I guarantee you, only VERY successful MLM companies reach as high as 6% rep retention after a year. Sure, they throw all kinds of fancy figures around, but they lie like dogs. And for less successful companies, their retention is probably half that figure - about 3%.
